The deer we saw on the trail, and most likely the same deer we saw from the road driving in. We were driving, not the deer.
Alisa and I found this log amusing. Looks like a head sticking out of the sea of grass. This and the next several photos were taken by Alisa on the morning after our cold night.
This is looking back at our campsite across Moss Lake. That big group of trees on the right is where we camped. Our tent is inside.
This is a really neat kind of cactus we saw in the park. Very thin, almost like vines. They all had these red blooms on them.
These great cactus/yucca things were found all over the park and many grew on Enchanted Rock itself. I really like them.
This is an oasis of life in the middle of granite. Its also where we saw the first of the amazing ice formations.
Notice the very fine, almost snow like ice. Its made up of thousands of fine spikes.
We made it to the lone tree at the top. One of the 6 people we saw that day took our photo.
This is a view of Moss Lake from the top of Enchated Rock. Our camp is in the trees just on the opposite side of the lake.
