NES Games - On Speed

Nes I have been keeping tabs on news coming out regarding the Nintendo Revolution.  The last home console game I purchased was a Sega Dreamcast, which came out before the original Playstation.  So, its been about 7 years.  The wife doesn't really enjoy video games, but I've made the decision to buy a system in this generation.  The Nintendo Revolution is the one I've decided to go with.

Now, there will be more to come on this in the future, but while looking at some sites on my lunch break, I came across video of people doing Speed Runs of NES video games.  The object is to beat the game as quickly as possible.  Well, I found two clips that are really remarkable.  First, is The Legend of Zelda, beaten in about 18 minutes.  Bare bones, but for those of us who spent hours playing the game as kids, sit down and realize how much you suck.

But for those with a bit more time on their hands, try out this clip of Super Mario Bros.  This is the game without Warps.  Straight through all levels.  Whoever is playing is amazing.  This will pretty much amaze anyone who has played Super Mario Bros.  This one is longer, so you can let it play in the background and check in every once in awhile.  Also, I think he may have some sort of cheat on, cause he touches a fireball once or twice that doesn't hurt him.  Other than that, its really clean.

The Geekiest entry in awhile, I know.  But it's fun.
